You see adverts all the time that offer carpet cleaning services for £9.95 per room, even whole houses for £69.95. You may have purchased services from one of these companies in the past.
- Were you impressed with the service?
- Were you so impressed that you wanted to tell others about the excellent workmanship you received?
- Or did it leave you feeling that “surely carpets should clean better than this?”
- Or even worse, were you ripped off and taken advantage of?
Have you experienced any of these situations…?
- The carpet cleaner didn’t show up on time for your appointment and he didn’t even have the common courtesy to call and let you know he was running late.
- When he did show up, he seemed indifferent to your needs. You felt like no one was even listening to your concerns.
- Once the cleaner got into your home, the price quote changed. He tried to tell you that you needed to purchase all kinds of extra treatments. Suddenly, the price has more than doubled or even trebled!
- Your carpet didn’t come clean. Maybe you felt that the job was rushed through and not enough time or effort was given to do a really good job. He didn’t even try to get those stubborn spots out for you.
Have you experienced this kind of service? Isn’t it frustrating? What has happened to good old-fashioned customer service?
Unfortunately this is typical of many cheap untrained carpet cleaners.
